A: Any person of any age who is qualified for high school.
A: COHS teachers have uploaded the course content into a format which the students can work through at their own pace. For detailed information see the "Student Handbook & Course Calendar” on the left side of this webpage.
A: You may enter the class even when your teacher or classmates are not online. The content you will be working through will have the full instructions you need to complete the lesson. The real learning is when the teacher and classmates communicate with you before, during or after the lesson is done.
A: Unlike some online high schools, Canadian Online High School teachers are fully engaged with the students throughout the course. Some online schools provide staff only for marking and periodic progress reports. Students are encouraged to communicate in various ways with their teachers, class mates and other human resources.
A: You have 6 months to complete the course once you begin, but you can finish faster if you want. There are 110-120 hours of active study per course that you must complete during that time period.
A: Contact your teacher for course problems. If you have a more important issue, you are encouraged to contact our Principal, whose information can be found on the About button at the top of this page.
